Hathcock 2nd, Carlos N. (b. 1942 - d. 1999) -- USMC Gunnery Sergeant and Scout/Sniper best known for his exploits while serving in Vietnam from 1966-1967 and 1969. Sgt. Hathcock, a champion target shooter and marksmanship instructor, had 93 confirmed kills credited to him during the Vietnam War and came to national prominence upon publication of Charles Henderson’s excellent biography Marine Sniper 93 Confirmed Kills. According to White Feather, pg. 120 by Norman Chandler, Hathcock was nicknamed “Long Tra’ng” (White Feather) by his communist Vietnamese opponents because of the small white feather he wore on his hat. -- May 29, 2013

Hillberg, Robert L. -- Designer of the Winchester Liberator and Colt Defender multibarrelled shotguns, as well as the J.C. Higgins Model 60 semiautomatic shotgun. The J.C. Higgins Model 60, introduced in 1954, was the first gas-operated, semiauto shotgun that was a sales success in the United States. Also designed the Whitney Wolverine semiautomatic pistol and the four-barrel, .357 Magnum C.O.P. pistol. -- April 15, 2013
