Ithaca Auto and Burglar Gun -- 20 gauge, double-barrelled, whipit-style shotgun manufactured by The Ithaca Gun Company from 1922 to 1934. The Ithaca Auto and Burglar Gun had a barrel length of either 10.1 inches or 12.2 inches, making them illegal to possess under the National Firearms Act of 1934 without a valid tax stamp issued by BATFE. The World’s Fighting Shotguns, vol. IV, pg. 80 by Thomas F. Swearengen indicates a total of 4,500 Auto and Burglar Guns were made during its short production run and they are currently a coveted collector’s item. -- Nov. 18, 2013
Ithaca Mag-10 Roadblocker -- 10 gauge, 3.5”chamber, semiautomatic shotgun manufactured by Ithaca Gun Company in the 1980s. The Ithaca Roadblocker was primarily intended for law enforcement use and according to Thirtieth Edition Blue Book of Gun Values, pg. 987 by S.P. Fjestad, it came with a 22” barrel. a parkerized finish and was last produced in 1986. Although the Roadblocker’s barrel length is listed as 22” in most sources, Gun Digest 1981, pg. 339 indicates the Roadblocker had a 20” barrel for that one year. -- January 4, 2016*
